luxury accommodation sunshine coast

Maleny (pronounced mah-lay-knee) belongs to our traditional landowners of the Jinibara peoples of the Gubbi Gubbi nation.

Scandi at Maleny, brand new luxury accommodation on the Sunshine Coast is 12 minutes from the main township of Maleny at Booroobin, unceded Jinibara country.

Maleny is a popular hinterland town with a welcoming mix of residents. You will encounter both old-time hippies and salt-of-the-earth farmers, newly arrived urban professionals and long-time locals. It's become a centre for eco-tourism and cooperative enterprises.

The area has replaced its timber-cutting and dairying past with tourism and people are searching for an alternative lifestyle. As well as being on the Hinterland tourist drive, it attracts day-trippers who have come to visit the local stores, art galleries and specialty shops.

Nearby towns include Landsborough, Montville, Peachester, Palmwoods and Hunchy. Places of geographical significance include the Glass House Mountains and Baroon Pocket Dam in North Maleny.

You'll find an array of retail stores, coffee houses, restaurants and grocery stores on the main street of Maleny, with plenty to see and do.

If nature walks and trails are your thing, then natural parks are abundant to explore either on foot or in a 4WD.

If you prefer food or wine tours, there are several wineries in the area also.

Or why not try a creative workshop or check yourself into several beauty salons for some self-love.

Maleny is a place for plenty to do, or you can do nothing at all, just as a holiday should be.
