the perfect hideaway
Nestled in the unspoilt hills of unceded Jinibara country on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, opened in May 2021, Scandi at Maleny is a new place to escape & stay for luxury hinterland getaways.
Switch your mind to “on leave from the rat race” and make time for your sense of flow at the cabin, immerse yourself in it, and enjoy the escape it brings.
an eco-minded slow stay
AN ESCAPE WITH PURPOSE
Escape without compromising the planet and give back, at the same time, a break you can genuinely feel good about, not just for yourself but for our world too.
As a prefab, modular cabin, sustainability is inherent in its design, so it only makes sense to have a conscious approach to its operation.
We use many sustainable and environmentally conscious practices within the cabin, such as partnering with ZeroCo and using their refillable bottles made from plastic destined for oceans and landfill. We connect with Community by contributing 50 meals to Oz Harvest for every guest booking and commit to donating at least 1% of our yearly profits to local not-for-profit organisations by being members of 1% for the Planet.
This slow stay is good for your heart, soul and, ultimately, our planet.
We want to inspire a new, conscientious way of travel and for guests to be able to choose to travel for the good of the world, community, Country and self.
Scandi at Maleny acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work and rest, the Jinibara people and the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and
recognise and celebrate their continuing connection to land, water, culture and community
and remember that sovereignty was never ceded.
We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging and thank them for protecting Country since time immemorial.
